Student activity load is indicated by participation credit units (skp). The participation credit unit (SKP) is a form of appreciation for an activity that is participated in by students in an effort to fulfill learning achievements as indicated by the unit number/quantity which is the cumulative amount of the activity. One skp represents student activities with intensity consisting of three components of participation, namely (a) 60 minutes of initiative participation, (b) 120 minutes of collaborative work participation and (c) 60 minutes of evaluative and reflective participation. Thus the total participation of 1 skp is 240 minutes which is equivalent to 4 hours.

The standard student activity load is calculated at 480 minutes (8 hours) in one week or a total of 2 skp. The assumption of the load used for student activities is that students perform activities on weekdays (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) for 1 hour so that a total of 4 hours or 1 skp and on holidays, namely Saturday for 4 hours or 1 skp. In total in 1 week students will get 2 skp. The number of weeks in 1 semester used in the calculation is 20 weeks so that the total burden of student activities that is used as a standard is 40 skp per semester. Each activity must be assessed appropriately considering that each activity is different in weight and intensity as well as the level of difficulty.
