Intake for the coursework programs is open twice a year, which is every April until August (for the September intake), November until February (for the March intake). Application for research mode programmes can be made at any time throughout the year. Master of Chemistry Study Program (MCSP) has the research excellencies which involves 3(three) major subjects:
1. Development of essential oil and derivatives
2. Materials for energy and environment
3. Development of natural products for health and food.

The of recruitment system for student’s intake, MCSP follow the rule in university level which can can be accessed at https://pmb.uii.ac.id or http://chemistry.uii.ac.id/master. Applicants should provide
some requirements:
- Graduated from national-accredited study programs and colleges with undergraduate (S1) graduatesin the subjects of the Chemical Science, Chemical Education, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, environmental engineering, and other study programs related to the chemistry field.
- Have a valid certificate and academic record/transcripts.
- Have a GPA ≥ 3.00.
- Have a CEPT / ITP / IBT / TOEIC / IELTS English proficiency certificate document equivalent to a score of ≥ 450.
- Have a certificate of Academic Potential Test (TPA) with a score of ≥ 450.
Student selection is carried out objectively by the MCSP Admissions Team which involves the Department of Chemistry and the Faculty members. Evaluation are based on the considerations and reputation of the previous level of education and the academic requirements shown by the TPA certificate and the ability to communicate in English shown by an English proficiency certificate.
